As we start the new year, we are grateful for the year that 2019 has been. Moving forward we are expectant and we believe 2020 will be a great year.
The last year as a ministry we went through a couple of transitions. Here are the major highlights of the year 2019:
For more than a decade the student center (The Palace) served as a place where Discipleship activities were held. It also offered a space where students could come and spend their spare time. As time progressed and the growth of the numbers, the need for expanding the tent that served as a place of worship. This was a big task but we thank God through generous support from our partners we were able to put up a newer bigger tent.
At the mid of 2019, the UDM leadership discovered that the location of ministry, The Palace, would have to be vacated. After a significant period of searching and praying, God provided property in Kansanga on the way to Nabutiti. By November, the property shift had taken place and the house was undergoing renovations. This move not only saw us as a ministry move to a different location but also the expansion of our vision of not only Equipping and sending out transformed university students but being able to provide safe, clean, affordable housing for ladies that is conveniently located near their university campuses. Called the Safe Haven, the property will become home to at least 24 university ladies later this year.
What once appeared to be an inconvenient and discouraging shift has been transformed into one of great hope and anticipation.
We are praying expectantly for the Lord to provide during this process of establishing the Safe Haven and also the acquistion of the new property that the Lord has blessed us with.
Please continue standing with us in prayer and in support to make this happen.
2020 indeed is a blessed year.
